★The Top Dog
top為形容詞，表「最上方的」，the top dog 的字面意思即「在最上位的狗」。例：羅傑是老闆的心腹愛將，老闆對他充分授權，全公司上上下下全聽他的。這時可以這樣說：Roger is the top dog here, so he calls all the shots.（羅傑是這裡的老大，所以全由他發號施令。）
