★A Sacred Cow

sacred為形容詞，表「神聖的」，cow指「母牛」，本俚語字面意為「神聖的母牛」，引申為「神聖不可侵犯的人事物」或「不能問、碰不得的事」。

例：Punctuality is her sacred cow. Kelly doesn急 like her staff being late for work.（守時對她來說十分重要。凱莉很討厭員工上班遲到。）
