R︰Good morning.Jasmine Hotel.Kathy speaking. How may I help you？（早上好，茉莉酒店。我可以幫您嗎？）

C︰Good morning.This is Ong from Primajaya Sendirian Berhad,Kuala Lumpur.（早上好，我是吉隆坡Primajaya有限公司的王。）

R︰How may I help you, Mr.Ong？（王先生，我可以幫您嗎？）

C︰I wonder whether I could make reservation for February.（我想知道是否可以為二月做幾項預訂。）

R︰Certainly.Is it for yourself？（當然可以，這是您自己的嗎？）

C︰For myself and my colleague.（是我及我的同事。）

R︰Which date would you like to book, Mr.Ong？（王先生，您要預定哪個日期？）

C︰Let me have a look. On the twentieth and twenty-first of February.（讓我看看，2月20及21日。）

R︰You mentioned about your colleague.（您說您同事。）

C︰Yes. Mr. Chong is going to be with me in February for a corporate meeting. We need two separated single rooms.（是，張先生在2月和我一起開公司會議，我們需要個別單人房。）

R︰Okay.（好的。）

C︰Would you mind booking another room for March？（您介意為三月預訂另一間房嗎？）

R︰Certainly not.（當然不。）

C︰On the eighth until twelfth of March,my wife is going to be with me for holiday.So we need a deluxe room.（在3月8至12日，我太太將和我一起度假，我們需要一間豪華房。）

R︰Is that all, Mr.Ong？（王先生，就是那樣嗎？）

C︰Yes.（是的。）

R︰May I have your company』s contact number, Mr.Ong？（我可以要您公司聯絡號碼嗎？）

C：Do you think I could have room number 218 in March？（你認為在三月我可以要218號房嗎？）

R︰Hold on,please. I』m afraid that room has been booked.Would you like to have room number 318？It is above room number 218 and it is the same, deluxe room.（請等一下，我恐怕那房間已經被預訂了，您要318號房嗎？它是218號房的上面，同樣是豪華房。）

C︰In that case,it』s fine. We are looking forward to see you in February.（那好吧，我們2月見。）

R︰Sure. Anything else Mr.Ong？（當然。王先生，還有其他可以幫您的事嗎？）

C︰That』s all. Bye.（沒有了，再見。）

R︰Bye and thanks for calling Jasmine Hotel.（再見及感謝撥電致茉莉酒店。）

英文中再度客氣的用詞分析：

雖然有些客氣用語是使用問句，但並不直接按照字面上的答覆。如Do you think……並不是要問別人怎麼想；它可能只是一種要求或不直接方式尋問。看以下例句︰

Do you think the sales person would be able to assist me soon？（你認為那銷售人員將能盡快協助我嗎？）

Would you mind？——您介意……嗎？用語分析︰

Would you mind making me a cup of coffee？（您介意泡一杯咖啡給我嗎？）

Would you mind telling me your age？（您介意告訴我您的年齡嗎？（尤其是向女生尋問年齡。）

I wonder whether… ——我想知道是否……用語分析︰

I wonder whether the CEO would like to have an interview with me.（我想知道是否那總裁要和我來一個採訪。）

讀者是否發覺一般上以上客氣用語都使用could及would。這主要是因為要避免太直接的詢問或要求。然而我們必須小心，在對談中若使用太多could及would會給他人感覺沒有自信，而帶來反效果。
