count在此作動詞表示“計算”，sheep是“綿羊”，count sheep 就是失眠者最熟悉的法寶：“數綿羊”。許多深受失眠（insomnia）所苦的人都用過“數綿羊”這個方法。

★make sheep's eyes at someone 送秋波╱拋媚眼

英語裏，我們用 make eyes at someone 表示“對某人拋媚眼”。例：Ethan is constantly making sheep's eyes at the blonde by the counter.（伊森不斷對著櫃檯邊那位金髮俏妞拋媚眼。）
