★Get Someone's Goat

"She really gets my goat."，A這句意思等同于 "She really makes me very angry."。本俚語字面上的意思是“某人的山羊被牽走”，為甚麼山羊被牽走會跟生氣有關？其中緣由有兩種可能解釋，其一是跟賽馬（horse racing）有關。據說在20世紀初，人們在賽馬前都會在馬廄（stable）裏安置一頭山羊，作為參賽馬的同伴（companion）。很神奇的是，馬兒有了羊的陪伴，心情往往會穩定許多，比較不易焦躁。
